Igrejinha, Renaldinho, and Matrix Lithium Projects

Minas Gerais, Brazil

About the Igrejinha, Renaldinho, and Matrix Projects

In February 2025, Perpetual secured a transformational landholding within the Araçuaí Pegmatite Distric in Brazil’s Lithium Valley through the acquisition of three highly prospective lithium projects — Igrejinha, Renaldinho, and Matrix — via a strategic agreement with K2 Mineração. Together, these projects cover 25.6km2 within close proximity to Tier-1 producers like Sigma Lithium and Lithium Ionic.

With high-grade spodumene assays up to 7.6% Li₂O, extensive artisanal workings, and confirmed mineralised corridors, the acquisition delivers immediate exploration scale and a clear pipeline of drill-ready targets.

Strategically positioned near Sigma Lithium, CBL and Atlas, Perpetual’s projects lie within Brazil’s premier lithium corridor.

IGREJINHA, RENALDINHO & MATRIX PROJECTS

The Projects are located in the heart of Brazil’s Eastern Brazilian Pegmatite Province, within the globally significant Lithium Valley of Minas Gerais — the epicentre of South America’s hard rock lithium production. Together, the three tenements cover approximately 25.6 km² and are all situated within the Salinas Formation, a regionally extensive schist unit known to host spodumene-rich LCT pegmatites.

THE SALINAS FORMATION

Host to Proven and Significant Lithium Deposits
The Salinas Schist provides the right rheological and geochemical conditions for LCT pegmatite emplacement. This formation underpins the majority of Brazil’s spodumene-bearing lithium deposits and is considered a Tier-1 host rock

THE RELEVANCE OF BRAZIL AS A SIGNIFICANT LITHIUM PRODUCING COUNTRY

Brazil is home to 100% of South America’s official spodumene-based lithium reserves. The Eastern Brazilian Pegmatite Province (Minas Gerais) is now globally recognised due to:

  • Sigma Lithium (NASDAQ: SGML): Grota do Cirilo Project – 108.9Mt @ 1.41% Li₂O

  • Latin Resources (ASX: LRS): Colina Project – 70.3Mt @ 1.27% Li₂O

  • Lithium Ionic (TSXV: LTH): Bandeira Project – 29.5Mt @ 1.37% Li₂O (PEA: IRR 121%, NPV8 C$1.6B)
